The mission of the Africatown Heritage Preservation Foundation is to preserve and document the stories of historical Africatown and create cultural and economic transformation through education and partnerships that benefit the environment and mankind.

The purpose of the Africatown Redevelopment Corporation Board is to revitalize housing, preserve history, and attract/develop commerce in the area known as the Africatown Historic District in Mobile, Alabama.

Africatown C.H.E.S.S. exists to ensure that the Africatown community, in Mobile, Alabama is Clean, Healthy, Educated, Safe, & Sustainable.

The promise of the Clotilda Descendants Association is to never let the world forget the resiliency of those 110 brave African men, women and children in 1860 for a two-month long journey to Mobile.

To lift the veil on our most significant and ambitious initiative: The Africatown International Design Idea Competition, co-created with our Professional Competition Advisor, studio|rotan.

MCTS Alumni Association, a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to protecting, preserving and promoting the history and achievements of the MCTS family, and its descendants, by documenting and recording, for posterity, the accomplishments and experiences of its family by awarding scholarships and publishing the Alumni experience to encourage others.

To engage and organize with Mobile, Alabama’s most threatened communities in order to defend the inalienable rights to clean air, water, soil, health, and safety; to promote environmental justice; and to take direct action when the government fails to do so, ensuring community self-determination.

Africantown Community Teach and Outreach NPO is dedicated to educating the local community, especially children, about the vibrant history and culture of Africatown. Through interactive programs and outreach initiatives, we aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for the African heritage that has shaped this unique neighborhood.
